Hillel Torah Teacher, Sari Kravit, Wins 1st Place Hartman Educator of the Year Award

The Associated Talmud Torahs of Chicago Hartman Family Foundation Educator of the Year Award recognizes outstanding and innovative education professionals in the ATT system.  Hillel Torah teacher Sari Kravitt was named the 2019 1st place winner. 

Over the past eight years, Sari has earned a stellar reputation as a teacher who really gets to know and cares deeply about each of her students and will go to any lengths to help them thrive and succeed. Whether she is teaching 2nd grade, 4th grade or 7th grade ELA, Sari cultivates a learning environment that is creative, energetic, deeply-thoughtful and student-centered.  

Sari is a leader among her colleagues and serves as a role model to others. She continually invests in growing as an educator and developing new methods to meet her student’s needs.  Sari is passionate about all that she does and her infectious enthusiasm has impacted countless students and fellow staff. She is a true asset to the Hillel Torah community. 

With this well-deserved award, Sari joins Rabbi Aaron Leibtag, Anita London, Debra Andruk, Lior Kakon, Gayle Kopin and Ariela Haymberg as the seventh Hillel Torah Hartman Educator of the Year winner in the nine years since the award’s inception.

Sari will be presented with her award at the ATT’s annual banquet.
