On Aug. 5-7, about 30 college students from around the country gathered in Chicago for the ISRAEL21c ambassadors retreat. I’m sure you know of 21c as a great news source for stories about Israel’s rich and diverse culture, innovative spirit, wide-ranging contributions to humanity, and democratic civil society. The ambassadors are influencers who are passionate about Israel and work with 21c to share stories that move them personally.

What is the ISRAEL21c Digital Ambassadors Internship?

Digital Ambassadors are a select group of 36 college students in North America who feel passionate about Israel and use social media to spread fascinating stories about meaningful and positive things happening there. ISRAEL21c is 100% non-political. It is the world’s largest archive of print and visual content about 21st century Israel – including Israeli science and technology, arts and culture, humanitarian aid, daily life, and more – with original content being updated daily by ISRAEL21c journalists. This paid internship is open to any student who is committed to helping people see Israel through an apolitical, humanist lens. Digital Ambassadors play a key role in “spreading the good news!”

“The ISRAEL21c Ambassadors Retreat is a unique gathering of 36 college students from around the country, coming together to learn strategic communications and social media tools that they’ll use throughout the year to share ISRAEL21c’s original, fascinating stories about meaningful, diverse, innovative things happening in Israel,” says Amy Friedkin, President of ISRAEL21c’s Board of Directors. “Chicago was the perfect central location for us to gather as a group, share our passions about Israel, learn from each other, and kick off a great year of spreading positive stories about Israel.”
