In honor of Israel@70, Hillel Torah upgraded the usual Yom Ha’Atzmaut celebration and took it to even greater heights! Thank you to the Robinson family for endowing the Sheldon z”l and Freda Robinson Israel Studies Program which makes this important piece of our educational program possible. Some of the highlights:
- Incredible and uplifting tekes led by our 8th graders incorporating music, dance, skits and videos with a guest performance of 1st graders. Watch it again on our Facebook page.
- Outstanding Israel Museum created by the students of Hillel Torah with each grade contributing a piece of work for their “wing” on display in the front lobby. The depth of the work and the level of the student’s Ivrit is amazing. Stop by and check it out!
- Magnificent, detailed and creative dioramas depicting locations in Israel and scenes from Israel’s history – also displayed in our front lobby – a must see!
- Engaging and fun round robin Israel activities for younger students created and led by our 7th grade class!
- A virtual “trip” to Israel in 3rd grade and in Preschool – with passports and all!
- A birthday party for Israel in Kindergarten.
