Visual idea-presentations have never been as important as now. Just look at Youtube as an example:

  • 300 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute!
  • Almost 5 billion videos are watched on Youtube every single day
  • YouTube gets over 30 million visitors per day
    • 3.25 billion hours of video are watched on Youtube per month

And these numbers are growing! So, where does that leave the Jewish community? One of the most prolific producers & providers of Jewish & Israeli video content is JerusalemU– which is located in Jerusalem and isn’t a university.

JerusalemU has developed a reputation for creating and distributing innovative, informative, stimulating, and entertaining feature films and educations programs, offering new perspectives on Jewish life, love, and leadership. To date, they have been featured on Netflix, PBS, Hulu and other mass-distribution services with an estimated nearly 3 million views. The brainchild of Raphael Shore, JerusalemU has enlisted the active participation of acknowledged leaders in many areas, includin

g: Ambassador Michael Oren, Bob Diener, Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, David Luchins, Lord Rabbi Jonathan Sacks, Tal Ben-Shachar, Michael Steinhardt, and a constellation of other thought leaders.

In Evanston on Sunday October 29, they presented the Midwest premiere of their latest film, When the Smoke Clears, a gripping documentary following several Israeli soldiers who were badly wounded in various wars and showing the extreme methods used to help them to recovery. The film, produced by local visionaries Lori Komisar and Morris Silverman, is available for viewing by interested organizations. In fact, their whole series of films & videos are well suited to Congregation, Community, Film Festival, InterFaith, and other events.
