Women throughout Chicagoland were incredibly enthusiastic about welcoming Allison Josephs, founder and director of Jew in the City, to Chicago on Tuesday, November 28th.
Due to the generosity of Mark and Penina Hartman, NILI: Chicago Institute of women’s learning was given the amazing opportunity to invite Allison to speak to the women of the community about her journey to Orthodox Judaism, entitled Finding G-d in Hawaii.”
Approximately 125 women of various Jewish backgrounds gathered together in the Beit Midrash of the WiFi Building in Skokie to hear Allison’s uplifting words. From her spiritual revelations about a shoot of bamboo to her heated discussions with her father, all of the women in attendance were inspired by her journey and her approach to Jewish growth.
NILI looks forward to continuing to inspire the women of Chicagoland in their Jewish living and learning at the many shiuriim and programs they offer throughout the year. Get involved by emailing [email protected] today.
