The Midwest Center for Jewish Learning, an initiative of the YU Torah Mitzion Kollel to create a community of Jewish learning on the Northshore, ran its first ever Family Purim Experience. The event was a true embodiment of the Megillah’s call for Jewish unity, “lech knos et kol haYehudim.” The Megillah reading was packed with people of all different communities, backgrounds, and religious affiliations. The family dinner party with entertainment and children’s activities was so packed that even after bringing out more tables and chairs, people were still eating on the floor in picnic-style. The overflowing crowd took it all in good spirit and people left this meaningful and fun event smiling, inspired, and connected.
