The annual Midwest Kinus HaShluchim (conference of Chabad Rabbis) took place this month at Innovation Park in Libertyville, Illinois and at Chabad of Vernon Hills, Illinois. The Midwest Kinus, held in addition to the international Kinus HaShluchim, is hosted each year in a different state.  This year, there were over 90 shluchim in attendance, hailing from across the Midwest region including Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

The day and a half was dedicated to learning, farbrengens, and creative and informative workshops. Highlights included Rabbi Pinchas Vishedsky of Chabad of Ukraine, who shared an emotionally charged and inspiring message of joy and bitachon in the face of challenges.

Another highlight was a panel of five senior shluchim who spoke about their childhood memories of the Rebbe in Crown Heights. Each one offered a perspective from a different period of time.

“The well attended Kinus was a wonderful gathering of unity and inspiration. This achdus is the perfect antidote to the nine days – the Ahavas Yisroel that will bring the ultimate and complete Geulah” said Rabbi Meir Moscowitz, regional director of Lubavitch Chabad of Illinois and co-host of the Kinus.
