Right after Pesach, Hebrew Theological College welcomed dozens of community volunteers and students who came to sort and pack the many bags of gently used clothing that were donated to HTC’s Rabbi Willam Z. and Eda Bess Novick Bigdei Yisrael clothing drive. On Sunday, March 18th, Hebrew Theological College and Fasman Yeshiva High School held the clothing drive, which over the next few months will be sorted and shipped to Israel. The clothing will be distributed in Beitar, Beit Shemesh, Chevron, Elad, Elon Moreh, Itamar, Kfar Tapuach, Kiryat Arba, Kiryat Sefer, Tzfat, and two locations in Jerusalem.
Bigdei Yisrael is still taking clothing donations and is looking for volunteers to help sort and pack on Sunday and Monday mornings at the warehouse until the beginning of June. The warehouse address is 3721 W. Chase in Skokie by Walmart.
