On Sunday February 28, 2018 the Yeshiva University Torah Mitzion Kollel was a historic day for the Yeshiva University Torah Mitzion Kollel of Chicago.  460 plus community members of varying religious backgrounds and geographic locations around Chicagoland gathered to celebrate the 10th year of the Kollel since the merger between Torah Mitzion and Yeshiva University.

Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth, opened the evening with an inspiring shiur attended by over 250 people.  The Kollel honored Rosh Kollel, Rabbi Reuven and Dr. Nechama Brand in recognition of their incredible devotion and contribution to the Chicago Jewish community.  Throughout the evening, all those in attendance were able to reflect on the growth and impact of the Kollel over the past 10 years.

One participant noted, “The dinner was a grand event. A true celebration of the growth of Torah that Rabbi and Dr. Brand have brought to the Chicago community. The dinner was not only celebration of the past but a look forward to the future and all that the Kollel has in store.”
