Have you ever wanted to be part of a board game?  The YU Torah Mitzion Kollel’s Yom Yerushalayim program at Arie Crown Hebrew Day School gave students that chance while engaging with Torah learning and Israeli history.  Students in grades 3rd-8th rolled a die, getting the opportunity to move along the life-size board, answering questions in Israeli geography, Yerushalayim history, or general Torah questions about Yerushalayim.  Every so often, students would land on a white card-a challenge space. ‘Your best rendition of Hatikva, please.’ ‘How about making a Magen David with your bodies?’

Students were able to show off their knowledge base, and, for questions that they did not yet know the answers to, had the opportunity to learn some new unique information about our Holy capital city.  Everyone was a winner, although some groups officially won bragging rights to having impressive Israel knowledge (you know who you are)! Until next year, have a great summer!
