“A Journey of Inspiration”-NILI: Chicago’s Institute of Women’s Learning annual inspiration event is an evening no one wants to miss. This year’s topic: Journeys to Judaism, gave two women in our community the opportunity to inspire others by sharing their personal journeys in converting to Judaism. Mrs. Ruth Rashkow and Mrs. Mary Anne Brasch both spoke beautifully about their individual journeys to Judaism, each encouraged by the unwavering support of both their parents and husbands. They shared their journeys from being raised as religious Christians to deciding to become religious Jews. Their continuous strength and commitment to Judaism left the whole room inspired and motivated to strengthen their own connection to yiddishkeit. Thank you to Mrs. Rashkow and Mrs. Brasch and everyone who attended and helped make this event a success.
